10 Things I Learned Over Byron’s Wedding Weekend

10. Amir is NOT a terrorist…at least that is what he told everyone in his speech. Pictures in his pink turbin may indicate otherwise. :)
9. Beer and Taco Cabana’s Gigante Burrito from the night before might make all the groomsmen standing behind you pass out…or whatever Wes ate mixed with gallons of Red Bull….
8. After the wedding, it is too late for the WEDGE!
7. Buck can get down!
6. Rhinestone ankle ties make pimpin’ headbands!
5. Whenever going through the drive through, don’t get out to talk to the people behind you…your ride might just drive off!
4. Amir turns into the Beast from the Middle East when bowling!
3. Sitters or Standers..which to go to when the urge hits???
2. Taco Cabana is open 24 hours, but their restroom is NOT…be careful when using their “outhouse” or you might end up with a wet shoe…just ask the girl from #5.
1. Chicken Pot Pie is NEVER a good idea when going out drinking…don’t worry! It wasn’t one of us!

Tasha and I sure had a great time! Thanks again Byron and Christy for letting me be part of this! The pictures I took can be found here.

After 15 or more years…

Sunday I got to see my step-brother. I have not seen him in probably 15 years. Way too long! Man, is he big!

For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about. Jon (my step-dad) had a son Jon and he came to visit the Wallin side of the family this weekend. He brought his girlfriend Tracy and from what we can tell they had a good time. I hope we will get to see them again sooner than later.

We took some pictures to remember their first trip to Texas. We were all very excited and can’t wait to see them again!

Philip and I think he looks just like his Daddy! Take a look at the pics and let us know what you think.

Christmas Lists 2005

Just like last year, we have put our Christmas wish lists up on TheThingsIWant.com. It is setup this year to not show us anything that has been bought until the end of Christmas weekend, but when you click to indicate you have bought something it sould tell you if it has been bought. We’ll see everyone in a couple weeks! We should be in Austin from Friday to Tuesday of Christmas Weekend…

Sure, the top one in my list may be a pipe dream, but it I can dream, can’t I?

Our Anniversary

We made it! Philip and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary this past weekend and it was AWESOME!!! He surprised me with the Broadway touring muscial Wicked. Well, first we went to a Hibachi restaraunt, Kobe Steakhouse then we went to the play! This was only on Friday! Philip then surprised me by taking me camping for the rest of the weekend. We went up into the Texas Panhandle to a place called Caprock Canyon State Park. It was soooooo beautiful! We stayed from Saturday to Monday. Which, by the way, were the best days to go! We pretty much had the entire park to ourselves. We went hiking and just hung out together. It was very relaxing. Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself how beautiful it is. We highly recommend going for anyone that likes hiking, climbing, or horseback riding.

Just an Update

Well, I just wanted to post an update since I hadn’t really posted anything lately.

We haven’t been up to much, that is why I hadn’t added anything. Tasha got her last 2 wisdom teeth pulled this morning, so we both got a day off of work. She is laying on the couch with an ice pack wrapped around her head and she is eating pain pills, penicillin, yogurt, mac & cheese and other soft stuff.

I am loving the GTO. Lisa (Tasha’s mom) was up a couple weeks ago and she wanted to go for a ride in it, so after driving at not-so-legal speeds, we went to the new high school down the street and put some nice rubber circles on their new parking lot (the one the band uses for their practice field). Lisa and Tasha had had enough after that. My job was complete.

Tasha is enjoying her 2 days off from work each week so she can have 3 day classes. She is doing all sorts of child observations and having fun. She did get a new car bug after I got the Goat. We looked at some Pontiac G6′s and Mini Coopers and a few others. We decided to go ahead and wait for a bit, especially with her working less now.

Tasha’s schedule for school is pretty busy, so I doubt we will get down to Austin many times this fall. But if any friends or family want to come up, feel free. Just give us a call and we will work out a good time. The State Fair of Texas starts today and runs for 3 weeks…

Our 1 year anniversary is just a couple weeks away. We both took off that Friday and Monday so we can have a 4 day weekend. We will be going to the Broadway musical Wicked on Friday night and then going camping at Caprock Canyon State Park for Saturday and Sunday night. We will take lots of pictures and tell everyone how it went.
